Stephenie Diep Linh Le, 22, is from Fountain Valley, CA and currently residing in San Jose. She is a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, Emphasis Physiology. Her career aspiration is to become a physician, and she is currently applying to medical school while working in the Emergency Department at O’Connor Hospital as a medical scribe.
At UC Berkeley, she was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, as well as a recipient of the Berkeley Student Foundation Scholarship Award. In 2010, she fundraised and volunteered with Volunteers for Medical Outreach (VMO), a nonprofit student led organization at UC Berkeley, providing medical and dental clinics and education in rural Vietnam. She was also heavily involved with the Vietnamese Student Association (CalVSA), serving as the organization’s 2009 Member Retention Chair, 2010-2011 Vice President, and 2011’s Summit Executive Director of UVSA’s Summit Leadership Conference, “Raise Your Voice”.
Stephenie’s recent hobbies are singing, dancing, and spoken word poetry. She loves singing acoustic songs in English as well as folk songs in Vietnamese. In college, she danced with Cal VSA’s Sriracha Hip-Hop team as well as Berkeley’s TruElement Hip-Hop team. Her most recent hobby is spoken word poetry, after being empowered by a class at Cal, Poetry 4 the People.
