What a night! I woke up on Monday morning and was still in shock that it has all happened so quickly over Sunday night. Everything was so magical!
March 3rd, 2013 was definitely a night to remember with all 14 beautiful ladies who competed for the title of Miss Vietnam of Northern California – Intercollegiate 2013. After months of practices and workshops, we finally were able to step on stage and showcase ourselves. Although the show was 3 hours long, it felt like everything happened in a blink of an eye, and of course it was so memorable. Being on stage was not easy at all even though it wasn’t my first time. All the anxiety, nervousness surrounded me the whole night which made everything much more difficult yet exciting at the same time.
It was such a surprise that I became Miss Áo Dài. I wasn’t expecting it at all, and when my name was called, I did not know what to do or how to react. However, it is an honor to carry this title, one thing I can surely be proud of – being a true Vietnamese girl in the traditional dress – Áo Dài.
As one of the court members of MVNCI 2013, I long to help our Queen with her philanthropy, and our community. I would like to make this year a year to remember with all the wonderful memories I will have throughout charity events with my ladies. Lastly, as MVNCI 2013 Court, we will always be sisters no matter where in life we will be.
Thank you judges, staffs, previous court members, all the lovely 2013 contestants, and of course, the audiences for making MVNCI 2013 Pageant a successful night!
