Yolanda Vo is a 26-year-old California native and a second-generation Vietnamese American to refugee parents. She is currently a third-year law student at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Thus far in her law school career, Yolanda has been awarded the Witkin Award of Academic Excellence in Mediation, recognized on the Dean’s List, and selected to join the Moot Court Board. She finds great fulfillment in volunteering at pro bono legal clinics on a weekly basis to assist with providing representation to low-income community members.
Yolanda completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, Irvine where she earned a bachelor’s degree in literary journalism and double-minor in political science and religious studies. During her time as an undergraduate, Yolanda devoted four years to UCI’s official campus newspaper as staff writer, associate editor, copy editor, and managing editor. She also enjoyed contributing to the Vietnamese American community by working as an editor for Vietnamese American Arts & Letters Association and serving as co-president for Hạt Cải, a Vietnamese Catholic young adults group at UCI.
In her spare time, Yolanda values exploring the outdoors on her bike or simply by foot. She also enjoys stumbling upon and collecting Griswold cast iron cookware and extensively baking.
